Large wall cupboards are great and usually guarantee plenty of storage space in a motorhome. In our case, however, we lacked a partition to make sensible use of the space.
With the thin poplar walls, really sturdy solutions tend not to look very nice, which is why these mounting points for Tesa PowerStrips are available. Thanks to their shape, they can support significantly more weight, as the force distribution is ‘optimised’.

Tip: We use 6mm birch plywood for the shelves. It retains its shape well despite being thin and light. The 6mm thickness means you lose hardly any space.
SMALL: In our kitchen cupboard, we use the ‘small’ version, which, according to Tesa, can hold 1 kg per hook – which is certainly sufficient.
LARGE: If you want to put more weight on the hooks in other cupboards, the “large” version is a better choice. This has a stronger print and is held in place with the larger PowerStrips, meaning 2kg per hook.
The shelves must be cut 5 mm narrower than the clear width inside the cupboard.
