Smart Manufacturing

I am absolutely delighted that I can produce such a wide variety of items in my small workshop, and new ones are added almost every week. Although it’s still just a part-time hobby, I have 3D printers, a CNC milling machine and other tools at my disposal, which ensure not only precise reproducibility but also a certain standard of quality. But it goes beyond craftsmanship, as I also implement modern IoT projects. If today’s possibilities had been available when I was younger, I’d probably never have left the basement, but as it is, I really appreciate the variety between manual work, mental work and sport.

At the moment, the public focus is on 3D-printed plastic parts, as I can’t juggle all my projects at once. That said, I think it’s brilliant that this process allows for the creation of a wide variety of products, which the customer can even customise themselves. Of course, on-demand production also has its downsides, as delivery isn’t in your letterbox the very next day. On the other hand, the parts are perfectly suited to their purpose.
