The sliding door is brilliant, because it instantly makes you feel at one with nature. However, there are also situations where it simply opens up too much. And that’s exactly why there are so many doorstops available. But woe betide anyone who forgets them! My doorstop is more of a lightweight temporary hold-open device, which I offer in two versions.
IMPORTANT! The FlexStop has proved to be the best option, which is why there are currently NO Soft or Spring versions available.
Flex-Stop: A combination of Hard and Soft with a variable ramp like the Spring model, but much simpler to manufacture. If the door goes past the stopping point, the handle should always be operated; however, a quick overshoot won’t immediately damage the door.
Hard-Stop: This stopper holds much more securely, but this should be borne in mind as the resistance can be quite stiff, depending on the latch.
Both versions do, however, have one thing in common: they can be fitted without tools and yet remain firmly in place thanks to a magnet and a pin. The door is then held at approximately 50% open.
