In 2022, after extensive research, we decided to fit a Bulltron in our own motorhome and calculated at the time that we’d like to be self-sufficient for around three days in winter, and that 200Ah would be sufficient for that. I explain whether that was enough in my video about the project. Having now used it for over 18 months in temperatures ranging from -15°C to +45°C, I’m thoroughly impressed with the product, which is why you can now find it here in the shop. Oh, and the old adage that ‘the biggest battery you can just about afford is the best one’ doesn’t apply here. You can find out more about this in my videos.
BullTron offers a 5-year warranty on its batteries, and the Polar Edition operates without any issues between -20°C and +50°C. All the “Polar” variants on offer here are fitted with a heater, and you’ll find out a lot more about this in my video. Each one also comes with an active balancer and a battery management system with Bluetooth (and Wi-Fi from 2025 onwards). I can’t yet say whether the 6,000 cycles at 80% DOD (depth of discharge) specified by the manufacturer can actually be achieved, as that would likely require a very long or intensive period of use in a campervan. It put my mind at rest at the time, even though the competitors’ 1,500 cycles would certainly have lasted a camper’s lifetime as well. Much more important is the correct maintenance of the batteries, which has a massive impact on their actual service life.

Safest lithium technology (LiFePO4, excerpt from BullTron)
BullTron batteries use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) technology, currently the safest lithium technology on the market. All batteries consist of high-performance and very durable (LiFePO4) cells and an integrated battery management system (BMS). The BMS continuously protects the individual cells and the entire battery against overvoltage/undervoltage, overtemperature/undertemperature, overloading and short circuits (automatic shutdown without damage). Premature battery failure due to external influences or incorrect use is effectively prevented by the BMS.
Comparison
of dimensions
The range of battery sizes makes perfect sense. Not just for financial reasons, but because of the wide variety of formats available.
